Assistant or Associate Professor in Cognitive Neuroscience of Human Memory at Ohio State University

Position Overview

The Department of Psychology at the Ohio State University invites applications for a tenure-track or tenured (Assistant or Associate rank) faculty hire with a focus on human memory research. We seek applicants with a primary focus on basic research on foundational questions of human memory, specifically long-term memory in healthy adults. Ideal applicants will study human memory using one or more neuroimaging approaches.
The successful candidate will have access to our state-of-the-art neuroimaging facilities housing fMRI, EEG, TMS, and eye-tracking equipment. The candidate will also have opportunities to build connections in our department with colleagues studying developmental, aging, clinical, and nonhuman populations; colleagues developing cutting-edge cognitive neuroscience and computational modeling approaches; and colleagues studying other cognitive processes that may interact with memory (e.g., attention, learning, language, emotion, decision, motivation, etc). The candidate will join a vibrant community at The Ohio State University including the interdepartmental Center for Cognitive and Brain Sciences (CCBS), Center for Cognitive and Behavioral Brain Imaging (CCBBI), and Translational Data Analytics Institute (TDAI).

Education and Experience Requirements

Required: Applicants must have earned a PhD in psychology, neuroscience, or a related field prior to the start of employment. ABDs are welcome to apply. Candidates are expected to have a publication record commensurate with career stage and a fundable research program.
Desired: Candidates should also demonstrate a commitment to graduate and undergraduate supervision and instruction. Candidates should demonstrate attentiveness to building a diverse and inclusive intellectual community, in line with OSU’s shared values (see below).
