Welcome message
Welcome to the MathPsych @Psychonomics Satellite Symposium 2026!

The theme of this year’s meeting is Changing Minds: The Dynamics of Cognition Across Timescales.

Registration is free for Psychonomics delegates.

The satellite meeting will take place at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina Hotel on Thursday, November 19, 9am-5pm.  You can book a room via the Psychonomic Society's website.

Many advances in our understanding of cognition are owed to formal models of the dynamics of cognitive processes. This symposium will highlight new developments in the study of how cognitive processes and representations change over time, ranging from the short timescales characteristic of attention and perception to the moderate timescales associated with memory and decision making to the long timescales over which learning and development take place. Speakers will address both formal theories and innovations in measurement and data analysis which promise to continue expanding our understanding of cognition through the lens of dynamics.

We look forward to seeing you in San Diego!
